This Year’s Theme

Prophet Isaiah declares God’s word: “Listen to me, my people; hear me, my nation: The law will go out from me; my justice will become a light to the nations.” Again, he says, " Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath."

In this generation the forces of darkness are becoming more and more rampant, and dark clouds are covering the world. No light can be seen. Let us remember the Lord Jesus teaching on the mountain, “You are the light of the world,” and then, “Let your light shine before people.”

Certainly, we are God’s people, God’s nation, we must lift up our eyes to the heavens and see clearly our responsibility as shining light.  We also must look at the world and see that everyone is groping in darkness in need of the light of life. Let us proclaim the Lord Jesus for He is the True Light. Whoever follows Him will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.

For this reason, this year’s theme “True Light Shining Forth” is to remind God’s children to carry out the mission of the time, to be the light to all peoples, and to shine forth the Truth Light of the life of Christ on earth. The theme verse is taken from John 1:9.

今年的主題

先知以賽亞宣示神的話：我的百姓阿，要向我留心。我的國民哪．要向我側耳。我必堅定我的公理，為萬民之光。再說：你們要「向天舉目，觀看下地。」當今的世代，黑暗的權勢越來越猖獗，黑雲籠罩大地，見不到亮光。想起主耶穌當日在山上訓眾：「你們是世上的光」，再說：「你們的光也當這樣照在人前」。

是的，我們是神的百姓，神的國民，要向天舉目，看清我們的責任；發揮光的作用。也要觀看下地，世人都在黑暗中摸索，需要生命之光。讓我們宣揚主耶穌：祂是世界的真光；跟從祂的，就不在黑暗走，必要得着生命的光。為此，特定今年的主題「真光普照 」，激發神的兒女們負起時代的使命，為萬民之光，將基督生命之真光普照大地。主題經文取自（約一9）＂
