Senior Pastor

Rev. Simon Kang was born in Foukien, China, 1930. He received formal theological education from Bethel Seminary of Hong Kong and later studied in Azusa Bible College in Pasadena, California. In Hong Kong, he held teaching positions in various seminaries including Bethel Seminary, Hong Kong Bible College, and Overseas Seminary. In 1968, he relocated with his family to New York for a new ministry serving as the assistant pastor at the Overseas Chinese Missions Church. Two years later, he joined Chinese For Christ New York Church as the senior pastor and has since been faithfully pastoring the congregation at the church. While serving with a strong conviction for spreading the Gospel, he is particularly dedicated to Bible based doctrinal teaching and writing. Rev. Kang is the author of several books including "Bible Lessons", which was adopted as a high school textbook in Hong Kong, "Climb to the Heights", and "God Asks". He is also the editor of the "Spirit Wind Monthly" which he started 25 years ago. Rev. Kang is fluent in Mandarin, Foukienese, and Cantonese.
